DECISION
APPROVING APPLICATION
OF FOREIGN AND INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS FOR FIRE SAFETY AND FIREFIGHTING IN
VIETNAM
THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC SECURITY OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to the Law on fire safety and
firefighting dated June 29, 2001; the Law on amendments to the Law on fire safety
and firefighting dated November 22, 2013;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No.
01/2018/ND-CP dated August 06, 2018 defining Functions, Tasks, Powers and
Organizational Structure of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam;
Pursuant to the Circular No. 28/2018/TT-BCA
dated August 10, 2018 of the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam
promulgating work regulations of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam;
Pursuant to the Circular No. 42/2019/TT-BCA
dated October 01, 2019 of the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam defining
Functions, Tasks, Powers and Organizational Structure of the Central Department
of Fire Safety, Firefighting, and Rescue;
Pursuant to the Decision No. 3516/QD-BCA-C07
dated May 29, 2023 of the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam approving
application of foreign and international standards for fire safety and
firefighting in Vietnam;

HEREBY DECIDES:
Article 1. The application of foreign and
international standards for fire safety and firefighting (15 standards included
in the list enclosed herewith) to design and inspection of fire safety and
firefighting equipment and systems in Vietnam is hereby approved.
Article 2. The application of foreign and
international standards for fire safety and firefighting in Vietnam shall
comply with the provisions of Clause 4 Article 1 of the Law on amendments to
the Law on fire safety and firefighting dated November 22, 2013.
Article 3. This
Decision comes into force from the day on which it is signed. Director
of the Central Department of Fire Safety, Firefighting, and Rescue, Directors
of provincial Public Security Departments, and relevant authorities,
organizations and individuals that apply foreign and international standards
for fire safety and firefighting in Vietnam are responsible for the
implementation of this Decision./.
