CIRCULAR
ON TIME LIMIT FOR ARCHIVE OF DOSSIERS, DOCUMENTS IN
FINANCIAL SECTOR
Pursuant to the Law on Archives
dated June 21, 2024;
Pursuant to Decree No.
29/2025/ND-CP dated February 24, 2025 of the Government on functions, tasks,
powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam;
Pursuant to Decree No. 166/ND-CP
dated June 30, 2025 of the Government on amendments to some articles of Decree
No. 29/2025/ND-CP dated February 24, 2025 of the Government on functions,
tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance of
Vietnam;
At the request of the Chief of
Office of the Ministry of Finance;
The Minister of Finance
promulgates the Circular on time limit for archive of dossiers, documents in
financial sector.

Article 2.
Regulated entities
1. Authorities and units in
financial sector.
2. Relevant authorities,
organizations and individuals.
Article 3. Time
limit for archive of dossiers, documents
1. The time limit for archive of dossiers,
documents in financial sector is attached to this Circular.
2. The application of time limit
for archive of dossiers, documents shall be carried out as follows:
a) The time limit for archive of
dossiers, documents shall be used for determination of the time limit for
archive of such dossiers and documents in financial sector.
b) The duration for archive of
dossiers, documents shall not be less than the time limit prescribed in the
Appendix attached to this Circular.
c) The time limit for archive
of dossiers, documents in financial sector of authorities and organizations not
prescribed in this Circular shall be the same as equivalent dossiers, documents
prescribed in this Circular.

Article 4.
Implementation clause
1. This Circular comes into force
from August 18, 2025.
2. The Circular No. 01/2024/TT-BYT
dated January 08, 2024 of the Ministry of Finance on the time limit for archive
of professional dossiers, documents in financial sector shall cease to be
effective from the effective date of this Circular.
3. Dossiers and documents that have
been amended or of which time limit for archive have been determined shall
remain to be effective until the Council for determination of the value of
documents of an authority re-considers and re-evaluates.
Article 5.
Implementation
Chief of Office of the Ministry of
Finance, heads of relevant authorities and units in financial sector; relevant
individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
