CIRCULAR
ON DURATION FOR ARCHIVE OF DOSSIERS, DOCUMENTS IN HEALTH
SECTOR
Pursuant to the Law on
Archives in 2024;
Pursuant to Decree No.
42/2025/ND-CP dated February 27, 2025 of the Government on functions, tasks,
powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam;
At the request of the
Chief of Office of the Ministry of Health;
The Minister of Health
promulgates the Circular on duration for archive of dossiers, documents in
health sector.
Article
1. Duration for archive of dossiers, documents in health sector
1. The duration for
archive of dossiers, documents in health sector shall comply with the
regulations in the Appendix attached to this Circular.

a) The duration for
archive prescribed in the Appendix attached to this Circular applies to paper
documents, documents included in information carriers or electronic documents.
b) The duration for
archive of dossiers, documents of authorities and organizations not prescribed
in this Circular shall be the same as equivalent dossiers, documents prescribed
in this Circular or relevant regulations. The duration for archive of dossiers,
documents shall not be less than the duration prescribed in the Appendix
attached to this Circular.
Article
2. Effect
1. This Circular comes
into force from July 01, 2025.
2. The Circular No.
53/2017/TT-BYT dated December 29, 2017 of the Ministry of Health on the
duration for archive of professional dossiers, documents in health sector shall
cease to be effective from the effective date of this Circular.
3. The duration for
archive of dossiers, documents in health sector determined before the effective
date of this Circular shall not be re-determined as prescribed in this
Circular.
Shall any difficulties
arise during the implementation of this Circular, report them to the Ministry
of Health (Office of the Ministry) for review, consideration and resolution./.
