DECISION
PROMULGATING THE LIST OF USED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY APPLIANCES BANNED
FROM IMPORT
THE MINISTER
OF POST AND TELEMATICS
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 90/2002/ND-CP
of November 11, 2002, defining the functions, tasks, powers and organizational
structure of the Post and Telematics Ministry;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree
No. 12/2006/ND-CP of January 23, 2006, detailing the implementation of the
Commercial Law regarding activities of international goods sale and purchase,
and goods sale and purchase agency, processing and transit with foreign
parties;
At the proposal of the director of the
Information Technology Industry Department,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To
promulgate together with this Decision the List of used information technology
appliances banned from import.”
Article 2.-
This Decision takes effect 15 (fifteen) days after its publication in “CONG
BAO.”
Article 3.-
The director of the Office, the chief inspector, the directors of the
Departments, heads of bodies and units attached to the Post and Telematics
Ministry, organizations and individuals manufacturing and/or trading in
information technology and telecommunications appliances shall have to
implement this Decision.

- This List is drawn up on the basis of the List of goods
and their HS codes in the Export and Import Tariff.
- Only goods items under 8-digit subheadings in this List are
banned from import. The 4-digit headings and 6-digit subheadings in this List
shall only help clarify information on banned goods under 8-digit subheadings.
- Used components and spare parts of goods on the List of
used information technology appliances banned from import are also banned from
import.
- This List shall not apply to used information technology
goods imported in complete sets within special-use systems.
