Pursuant to Article 12 of the Postal Law 2010 stipulates that articles and goods cannot be sent, approved or transported via the postal network as follows:

1. Articles and goods banned from circulation by Vietnamese law.

2. Articles and goods sent from Vietnam to countries where Vietnam's law prohibits export or the law of the receiving country prohibits import.

3. Articles and goods sent to Vietnam from countries that are prohibited by Vietnamese law.

4. Articles and goods banned from being transported by post according to the provisions of Vietnamese law and international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a contracting party.

Pursuant to Clause 6, Article 19 of the World Postal Convention issued together with Notice 17/2020/TB-LPQT stipulating that items are not accepted or banned from sending as follows:

6 Coins, bank-issued valuables and other valuables

6.1 It is prohibited to dispose of coins, bank-issued valuable papers, banknotes or securities of any kind payable to the payee, traveler's cheques, processed or unprocessed platinum, gold or silver, gems, jewelry or other valuables:

6.1.1 in undeclared parcels;
