Is the corpse moved across the border by plane?

Pursuant to Article 6 of the Circular No. 21/2021/TT-BYT prescribing sanitary conditions in movement of corpses, remains and ashes, as follows:

1. Sanitation in removal of corpses:
2. a) Relocation of corpses within Vietnam's territory: in case of moving by land, the corpses shall be covered tightly by waterproof materials and transported by separate vehicles. In case of moving by air, waterway or railway, it can be placed in separate and closed box;

b/ Movement of the body across the border or body must be placed in three-layer organs: a layer made of zinc or other materials which is capable of bearing capacity, without leakage, with dehumidity and tightly welded; a middle layer made of wood; an outer layer made of pressed board;

1. c) In case a person dies in a large quantity of vehicles in a disaster, the use of vehicles for transporting corpses shall be decided by the head of the organization in charge of disaster recovery, ensuring that the body is tightly closed, leaked, impervious to water, not cracked or broken during the relocation.
2. Sanitation in the movement of bones and body ashes: when moving bones, body ash, must be placed in the items to ensure no leakage, water permeability, no cracking or breaking during the movement.

Accordingly, the movement of corpses across the border must be placed in three-layer organs as prescribed by law. Therefore, if the Laos country airport allows his/her friends to transport the corpse by air, he/she may transport the corpse by air.

What is the symptom of the document?

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Circular on hygiene in transport of the body holding the property as follows:

1. People who are accompanying the vehicle carrying the body and are able to carry all the personal protective equipment (eye cover, rubber gloves, medical gloves, shoes or boots).
2. After transporting the body to the burial or cremation site, the whole surface of the transport vehicle must be disinfected with a active chlorine solution, 70% alcohol or antiseptic preparations.
3. After finishing work, persons who accompany transport means carrying corpse must remove and remove all personal protection means and collect, treat such as infectious waste; wash hands with soap or disinfect hands with hand-sterilizing solution.
