This means that the base pay for 4 regions proposed to enter into force in 2018 by the National Salary Council will rise by an average of about 6.5% compared with 2017.
This 2018 proposal for base pay increase will be represented to the Government for its decision to promulgate a Decree providing the regulatory framework for the 2018 base pay.
This coming Decree will replace the Decree No. 153/2016/ND-CP on the region-specific base pay for employees working under employment contracts (into force from January 1, 2018).
