Cutting environmental protection tax on gasoline by 50% from April 04, 2022

On March 23, 2022, the Standing Committee of National Assembly promulgated Resolution No. 18/2022/UBTVQH15 on environmental protection taxes on gasoline, lubricant and grease.

According to the Circular, from April 01, 2022 to the end of December 31, 2022, there are a 50% cut in environmental protection tax on gasoline (excluding ethanol), diesel fuel, mazut, lubricant and grease and a 70% cut in environmental protection tax on kerosene.

Environmental protection tax after cut is specified as follows:

- 2.000 dong/litre of gasoline (excluding ethanol);

- 1.000 dong/litre of diesel fuel;

- 300 dong/litre of kerosene;

- 1.000 dong/litre of mazut;

- 1.000 dong/litre of lubricant;

- 1.000 dong/litre of grease;

Environmental protection tax on aviation fuel is still 1.500 dong/litre according to Resolution No. 13/2021/UBTVQH15 dated December 31, 2021.

Resolution No. 18/2022/UBTVQH15 comes into force from April 01, 2022.
