The Plan’s general objective is to ensure food safety in the production, processing, trading, import, and use of food;
Strengthen the control and timely prevention of the production and trading of fake and poor-quality food;
Ensure consumers’ benefits and prevent food poisoning during the 2023 Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival.
Regarding food safety inspection operations:
- At central level: by 6 Specialized Inspection Teams, established by the Central Inter-Sectoral Steering Committee for food safety, in 12 provinces and cities.
- At local level: by Inter-Sectoral Inspection Teams, from provincial to commune level.
The nationwide implementation period of the food safety assurance on the occasion of the 2023 Luna New Year and Spring Festival is from December 15, 2022 to the end of March 12, 2023.
