According to this document, road vehicles liable for road tolls and other means of transport eligible for free-of-charge road services must have ETC cards mounted on as legally prescribed.
Payment of costs of mounting of ETC cards on road vehicles is regulated as follows:
- Vehicle owners do not have to pay costs of the initial mounting of ETC cards before December 31, 2021.
- From December 31, 2021 onwards, vehicle owners will pay costs of the mounting of ETC cards to toll collection service providers.
(Current regulations prescribe that vehicle owners do not have to pay costs of the initial mounting of ETC cards).
Decision No. 19/2020/QD-TTg is entering into force from August 1, 2020, replacing the Decision No. 07/2017/QD-TTg dated March 27, 2017.
