According to the Decision, peak hours apply from Monday to Saturday, from 17:30 to 22:30 (5 hours per day); Sundays have no peak hours. Normal hours apply from Monday to Saturday, from 06:00 to 17:30 and from 22:30 to 24:00 (13 hours per day); on Sundays, from 06:00 to 24:00 (18 hours per day). Off-peak hours apply from 00:00 to 06:00 on all days of the week (6 hours per day).
Responsibilities of Vietnam Electricity (EVN):
- Organize the implementation of the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames of the national power system in accordance with the above regulations;
- Before December 15 each year, or where there are changes in the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames in the load curve of the national power system, report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam on proposals for the promulgation of the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames of the national power system.
Responsibilities of the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited:
- Cooperate with Vietnam Electricity in providing necessary information related to capacity, output, load curves, and other data to serve the determination and regulation of the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames of the national power system;
- Before December 15 each year, or where there are changes in the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames in the load curve of the national power system, report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam on proposals for the promulgation of the peak, off-peak, and normal time frames of the national power system.
