- Motor vehicles with 4 and 9 seats do not need to be equipped with fire extinguishers.
(Circular No. 57 regulates that motor vehicles with 4-9 seats must be equipped with 01 under-4kg dry powder extinguisher or under-5 liter foam fire extinguisher or under-5 liter water additive fire extinguisher or under-4kg CO2 fire extinguisher).
- Motor vehicles with more than 9 seats, passenger trailers or semi-trailers towed by motor vehicles, and tractors, must be equipped with:
+ Handheld powder fire extinguishers or handheld CO2 fire extinguishers or handheld water fire extinguishers;
+ Handheld flashlight lamps.
Notes: Quantity and weight of fire extinguishers will depend on the number of passenger seats of vehicles detailed in Appendix I to the Circular No. 148.
