This document prescribes that Social Security agencies will, of their own accord, renew HI cards in 2019 based on the system data without having to print out new HI cards.
Reissuance of HI cards may be allowed in case of card information change, loss, damage, or upon receipt of requests from employing entities.
Due to this fact, Social Security agencies request enterprises to send SI, HI, AI, OAI and ODI contributions till end of December 2018 in order to renew HI cards in 2019.
During this time, enterprises need to collate personal information of employees printed on HI cards, such as cardholder’s full name, primary healthcare service provider, insurance entitlement code and five-year anniversary date of participation in the SI program, etc., and request reissuance of HI cards in case of errors.
