RESOLUTION

ON EXTENSION OF TRIAL PERIOD OF THE USE OF TELECOM PAYMENT ACCOUNTS TO PAY FOR SMALL-VALUE GOODS AND SERVICES

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Government Organization of June 19, 2015; Law on amendments to the Law on Government Organization and the Law on Organization of Local Governments dated November 22, 2019;

Pursuant to Decree No. 39/2022/ND-CP dated June 18, 2022 of the Government promulgating the Government's Working Regulations;

Considering the proposal of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam in Document No. 152/TTr-NHNN dated November 15, 2023 on the summary and evaluation of the 2-year trial of the use of telecom payment accounts to pay for small-value goods and services (Mobile-Money), Report No. 8877/NHNN-TT dated November 16, 2023.

HEREBY RESOLVES:

Article 1. Extend the trial period for the use of telecom payment accounts to pay for small-value goods and services at Decision No. 316/QD-TTg dated March 9, 2021 of the Prime Minister as follows: “Enterprises that are approved by the State Bank of Vietnam to participate in the trial use of telecom payment accounts to pay for small-value goods and services may extend the trial until December 31, 2024.”

Article 3. This Resolution comes into force from the date of signing.

Article 4. The Prime Minister, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, the Minister of Public Security, the Minister of Information and Communications, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Justice, and the heads of relevant agencies shall implement this Resolution.
