To be specific, a confirmed case (a F0 case) is:
- A person who is positive to COVID-19 via Realtime RT-PCR testing method; or
- A person who exhibits clinical symptoms under Official Dispatch No. 1909/BYT-DP and is positive to COVID-19 via antigen test; or
- A person who has epidemiological criteria and is positive to COVID-19 via antigen test.
(Previously, an F0 case also include: a person who is an F1 case and positive to COVID-19 via rapid antigen test; or a person who is positive to COVID-19 after 2 rapid antigen tests (with the second test performed within 8 hours from the first test) and has epidemiological criteria (excluding F1 cases))
In addition, an F1 case (an individual who makes close contact to an F0 case during his/her infectious period) includes:
- A person who makes direct physical contact (shaking hands, hugging, kissing, direct skin-to-skin contact or body contact, etc.) with an F0 case; or
- A person who, while wearing face mask, makes contact or communicates with an F0 case within 1 meter of the F0 case or within at least 15 minutes in the same narrow, confined space; or
- A person who, while not wearing face mask, makes contact or communicates with an F0 case within 1 meter of the F0 case or within the same narrow, confined space; or
- A person who direct provides care for, examines, and treats an F0 case without donning proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Official Dispatch No. 1909/BYT-DP dated April 15, 2022 replaces Official Dispatch No. 11042/BYT-DP dated December 29, 2021 and Official Dispatch No. 762/BYT-DP dated February 21, 2022.
