According to this document, quick test prices set according to the instructions given in section VI of the Official Dispatch No. 4356 are as follows:
- By July 1, 2021:
+ HI policyholders: Applying the price of VND 238,000 according to the instructions given in the Official Dispatch No. 4068/BYT-KHTC dated July 30, 2020.
+ Patients not paid by HI: Applying the price approved by the competent authority and restricted to VND 238,000 according to the Official Dispatch No. 5834 dated October 27, 2020.
- From July 1, 2021, actual payments and spending are regulated as follows:
+ Expenses related to collection of samples, notification of test results: consumables, electricity and water, labor, etc. which medical facilities pay for according to the currently decentralized budget relating to funding for epidemic prevention and control activities.
+ Expenses for testing for which actual payments are made: Spending and making payments to specific patients according to the actual number of quick tests that they use and at the successful bid prices.
Example: If a winning bidder successfully bids for provision of quick test services at the price of VND 135,000/test, and an HI card holder receiving such service there is eligible for receiving 80% HI coverage for his/her medical costs, the HI plan will make a one-off payment of insurance benefits to him/her according to the formula: VND 135,000 x 80% = VND 108,000.
The co-payment of VND 27,000 and other expenses related to collection of samples, notification of test results will be covered under the delegated payment authority.
