1. Lunar New Year of the Ox 2021:
- Public officials, civil servants, employees and general workers of state regulatory authorities will be entitled to take 07 consecutive days-off that extend from the beginning of Wednesday (February 10, 2021) to end of Tuesday (February 16, 2021 (a.k.a. the 29th day of December of the year of the Rat to the 5th day of January of the Ox).
- With regard to employees working under the payroll regimes subject to employers’ decisions, employers may choose either of the following alternatives:
+ 01 day-off ending the lunar year of the Rat and 04 days-off starting the lunar year of the Ox.
+ 02 days-off ending the lunar year of the Rat and 03 days-off starting the lunar year of the Ox.
2. National Independence holidays (September 2, 2021):
- Public officials, civil servants, public employees will be entitled to 04 days-off from September 2, 2021 to September 5, 2021.
- With regard to employees working under the payroll regimes subject to employers’ decisions, employers may choose either of the following alternatives:
+ 02 days-off from September 1 to September 2, 2021.
+ 02 days-off from September 2 to September 3, 2021.
Notes: Employers must announce Lunar New Year and National Independence holidays to employees and workers at least 30 days before implementation of the alternative.
