They will be entitled to the one-off initial support for their supplies with cash so that they can buy personal stuff necessary for their studying and settling down in Vietnam;
The prescribed allowance for such initial support is prescribed as follows: (there are none of current regulations on such support)
- International exchange students taking undergraduate, postgraduate and those learning Vietnamese to meet prerequisite requirements for examinations for entrance into undergraduate or graduate programs: VND 4,480,000/each;
- International exchange students enrolled in professional improvement and career refreshment courses lasting for less than 12 months: VND 3,580,000/each;
- International exchange students majored in national defence, security or cryptography will be entitled to an additional support of VND 55,000/student/month for military supplies or gears.
Circular No. 55/2020/TT-BTC is entering into force on July 30, 2020.
