Social distancing directions under Directive No. 16/CT-TTg are now available for use

This is the highlight of the Official Dispatch No. 2601/VPCP-KGVX regarding implementation of the Directive No. 16/CT-TTg on COVID-19 prevention and control.

This document prescribes strict social isolation in compliance with requirements of the Directive, aiming to minimize community infection risks, and appeals to the population to limit their movement in public, except for any essential activities, including:

- Buying foods, pharmaceutical products and other essential products or services;

- Urgent cases such as medical emergency, medical examination and treatment; natural disasters or conflagration, etc.;

- Working at state agencies, armed forces, diplomatic missions and establishments obtaining permission for continuation of their business as follows:

+ Factories, production premises; transport infrastructure construction and other building projects;

+ Businesses supplying essential services and products (e.g. food, pharmaceuticals, gasoline, oil, electricity, water and fuel, etc.);

+ Educational institutions, banks, treasuries, businesses trading services directly related to banking operations and auxiliary to other enterprises (e.g. notary public, legal advocate and register, etc.);

+ Securities, postal and telecommunication, medical healthcare services and funeral services, etc.

Notes:  Heads of the aforesaid establishments will be responsible for guaranteeing ultimate safety and carrying out all prescribed disease control and prevention measures;

If they fail to comply with their commitments or fall into situations under which their business has to be temporarily suspended under decisions of Presidents of People's Committees, they will have to abide by temporary suspension decisions.
