According to the document, in order to actively ensure raw materials are available for domestic production and export, and ensure growth in export to achieve predetermined targets, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests its affiliates to perform the following duties:
- Department of Import and Export actively works with associations, corporations and FDI enterprises to assess production and export output; proposes solutions to difficulties.
- Department of European and American Markets researches and assesses capacity to grow export of Vietnamese goods to compensate for decreases in export due to Covid-19’s impacts with particular attention paid to incentives granted by entry into force of EVFTA;
- Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency promotes import of raw materials and other essential supplies used in manufacturing sectors using a lot of workers such as textile and garment, electronics, etc., with particular attention paid to small and medium enterprises that have not acquired much experience in import and so on.
