The Circular prescribes that insurance agent services provided by credit institutions will comprise one or several following activities:
- Introducing potential customers to insurance companies that contact them later to give advice on insurance policies.
- Credit institutions may contact customers in person to give them advice on insurance policies, explain terms and conditions of insurance products to target customers, or contact them indirectly via emails or other modes of communications to provide counsels on insurance policies.
- Providing customers with instructions and support regarding preparation of insurance policies, reception of application documents for insurance products and arrangements necessary for finalization of insurance policies with insurance companies.
- Providing authorized collection of insurance premiums under terms and conditions of insurance agent agreements.
- Providing customers with instructions and support regarding settlement and payment of claims for insurance coverage if insured events take place.
