Abolishing regulations on issuing automatic import Permits for motorbikes with the minimum engine capacity of 175 cm3

Trần Trang

On September 19, 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued the Circular No. 27/2018/TT-BCT regarding abolishment of regulations on issuing automatic import permits for motorbike with the engine capacity of at least 175 cm3.

Specifically, when completing import procedures for motorbikes with the minimum engine capacity of 175 cm3, tradespersons will not need to apply for automatic import permits any longer.

Instead, procedures for import of motorbikes with the minimum engine capacity of 175 cm3 will be completed at the customs authority in accordance with laws in force.

The Circular No. 27/2018/TT-BCT will enter into force on November 5, 2018 and repeal the Circular No. 06/2007/TT-BTM dated May 30, 2007 of the Ministry of Commerce, and Article 3 of the Circular No. 10/2011/TT-BCT dated March 30, 2011 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
