Piloting new customs procedures for goods under Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BTC

The General Department of Vietnam Customs has issued the Official Dispatch No. 4753/TCHQ-GSQL on piloting of customs procedures for exported and imported goods to replace the Decision No. 1966/QD-TCHQ dated July 10, 2015.

According to this document, in order to prepare for the official implementation of new customs procedures (issued as instructions for new regulations laid down in the Circular No. 39/2018/TT-BTC) in the most effective manner, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will experiment on the customs procedures as follows:

- The customs procedures for freight transported by sea, which are piloted at Hai Phong Region-I Bordergate Customs Subdepartment;

- The procedures for management of investment, processing and export manufacturing, and export processing enterprises, which are piloted at the Customs Subdepartment for Management of goods used for processing investment – the Customs Department of Hanoi;  

- The customs procedures for freight transported by air, which are piloted at the Bordergate Customs Subdepartment of Noi Bai International Airport;

- The customs procedures for freight transported by rail or road, which are piloted at the Huu Nghi Bordergate Customs Subdepartment, Customs Subdepartment of Dong Dang International Railway Terminal;  

- The customs procedures for supervision of freight transported by inland waterway, which are piloted at the Vinh Xuong Bordergate Customs Subdepartment.

Piloting period: from August 15, 2018 to end of August 17, 2018.
