CIRCULAR
LISTS OF PERMISSIBLE
ANTIBIOTICS AS GROWTH STIMULANTS IN LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY FEEDS IN VIETNAM AND
CONTENTS THEREOF
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree
No.199/2013/NDD-CP dated November 26, 2013 defining functions, tasks,
entitlements and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and
Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Criminal Code dated November 27,
2015;
Pursuant to the Law on goods and product quality
dated January 21, 2007;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No.
08/2010/NDD-CP dated February 05th 2010 on the management of animal feeds;
At request of the Director of the Department of
Livestock Production, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
hereby issues the List of permissible antibiotics as growth stimulants in
poultry and livestock feeds in Vietnam and contents thereof.

Article 2. Regulated entities
This Circular applies to traders and users poultry
and livestock feeds within the territory of Vietnam.
Article 3. General rules
1. No more than 02 antibiotics
on the list hereof are permissible in a poultry and livestock feed; and such
antibiotics shall be used according to scientific rationale.
2. Only premixes with the
content of antibiotics of not exceeding 20% are allowed to be added to poultry
and livestock feed under the provisions hereof and shall not be used for any
other purpose.
3. The permissible antibiotics
in livestock and poultry feeds in Vietnam and its content specified in the
Annex enclosed herewith shall be applied until December 31, 2017 inclusive.
Article 4. Transitional provisions
Every type of poultry and livestock feeds which
fails to satisfy provisions hereof may be sold on the Vietnam’s market until
December 31, 2016 inclusive.

2. This Circular replaces
regulations on antibiotics added to poultry and livestock feeds stipulated in
the Circular No. 81/2009/TT-BNNPTNT on national technical regulations on animal
feeds dated December 25, 2009 by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Article 6. Implementation organizations
1. The Director of the
Department of Livestock Production shall take charge of and take
responsibilities for the State management of trading and addition of premixes
and antibiotics to poultry and livestock feeds under this Circular.
2. Heads of affiliates of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant entities shall be
responsible for the implementation of this Circular. /.
