According to the Official Dispatch, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and provincial People’s Committees to:
- Strictly comply with the Law on Food Safety, Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018, Directive No. 17/CT-TTg dated April 13, 2020. Heads of facilities and units that organize industrial kitchens shall be responsible for food safety as per regulation.
- Proactively develop plans for food safety assurance regarding industrial kitchens at schools, industrial zones, export processing zones, etc., and industrial kitchens shall be inspected, supervised, post-inspected, assigned, and decentralized for sufficient management.
- Increase inspection and inter-sectoral inspection, especially in education and health care sectors, and cooperate with School Boards of Directors in supervising and inspecting compliance with regulations on food safety from the origin, processing, preservation, transportation of food, etc.
- Accelerate the dissemination and education in food safety knowledge and measures to prevent food poisoning suitable for each subject, etc.
- Mobilize the participation and promote the role of union organizations, boards of representatives of students' parents, and youth unions at schools in supervising health care and food safety assurance at industrial zones, export processing zones, hospitals, schools, etc.
