According to this document, standards for formulation and preparation of traditional herbal medicines are regulated as follows:
- Traditional medicine establishments that process herbal ingredients and traditional medicinal herbs must apply the standards specified in Appendix I to this Circular.
- Traditional medicine establishments that formulate traditional herbal medicines in traditional dosage forms must apply the standards specified in Appendix II to this Circular.
- Traditional medicine establishments that formulate traditional herbal medicines in modern dosage forms must apply the standards specified in Appendix III to this Circular.
- In case traditional medicine hospitals in provinces or centrally run cities process, prepare and formulate traditional herbal medicines for sale to other medical facilities that provide traditional medicine services in the same province or centrally-run city:
They must apply the provisions of Appendix VI and Appendix VII of the Circular No. 35/2018/TT-BYT dated November 22, 2018 and must be evaluated according to the provisions of this Circular. .
