According to this document, from January 1, 2021, the retirement age of workers and employees working under ordinary condition is regulated as follows:
- The retirement age of male workers and employees is 60 years and 03 months which is increased by 03 months till 62 years of age reached in 2028.
- The retirement age of female workers and employees is 55 years and 04 months which is increased by 04 months till 60 years of age reached in 2035.
In addition, the following workers and employees may retire at the lower retiring age which is not 5 years higher than the above-stated retirement age as determined at the annuity starting date, unless otherwise prescribed by laws:
- Acquiring at least 15 years' taking up arduous, toxic, dangerous, or extremely arduous, toxic, dangerous, jobs or occupations specified in the classification list issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
- Acquiring at least 15 years’ working in extremely difficult socio-economic regions, including the period of time of working at the places assigned the regional benefit coefficient of 0.7 or more, by January 1, 2021 (regions facing extremely difficult socioeconomic conditions).
- Suffering from a reduction by at least 61% of labor capacity.
- Acquiring a minimum total of 15 years during which they take up arduous, toxic, dangerous, or extremely arduous, toxic, dangerous, jobs or occupations, and work in regions facing extremely difficult socioeconomic conditions.
Decree No. 135/2020/ND-CP is taking effect on January 1, 2021.
