According to this document, the Ministry of Health requests Directors of Departments of Health to command their affiliated units to carry out the following tasks:
- Continue to review and enhance the testing capacity of each local facility by making on-the-spot resources available to actively conduct tests;
- Plan SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic tests according to surveillance instructions for disease prevention and control annexed to the Decision No. 3468/QD-BYT and SARS-CoV-2 Diagnostic Test Plan annexed to the Decision No. 4042/QD-BYT;
- Carry out more comprehensive sampling and testing for suspected persons according to local plans;
- Expand the accessibility to SARS-CoV-2 tests for high-risk people, including COVID-19 response team members; officers working at border checkpoints, customs, airports,…
- Command test laboratories to ensure SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic test quality, collect specimens and inform test results on time, and make reports according to currently applicable instructions and regulations.
