Providing relief for enterprises in difficult situation due to Covid-19 disease under Decree No. 40/2019

This is mentioned in the Resolution No. 129/NQ-CP regarding the Government’s regular meeting held in August 2020.

According to the document, the Government has ratified the following actions:

- Extending the deadline for the completed installation of continuous wastewater and emission observation systems prescribed in clause 20 and 23 of Article 3 in the Decree No. 40/2019/ND-CP to end of December 31, 2021 (instead of December 31, 2020).

- Extending the expiry date of the Licenses for hazardous waste management (issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) falling under the regulations laid down in clause 39 of Article 3 in the Decree No. 40/2019 to end of December 31, 2021;

Also, they would not need to re-make the environmental impact assessment reports that have already been approved if they do not change their location or increase the operational capacity as provided in Article 20 in the 2014 Law on Environmental Protection.

- Extending the Certificates of conformance to environmental protection regulations for the import of wastes and scraps used as production inputs under the regulations laid down in clause 39 of Article 3 in the Decree No. 40/2019 to end of December 31, 2021;

Also, they would not need to re-make the environmental impact assessment reports that have already been approved if they do not change their location or increase the operational capacity as provided in Article 20 in the 2014 Law on Environmental Protection.
