According to this document, functional requirements for digital signature verification software have been imposed, including:
- Checking of validity of digital signatures affixed to data messages;
- Storage and cancellation of the following pieces of information attached to digital signature data messages:
+ Digital certificates corresponding to digital signatures attached to incoming digital signature data messages;
+ List of digital certificates of digital signature authentication service providers revoked at the signature time that are in concordance with digital signatures attached to incoming digital signature data messages;
+ Validation etiquettes of digital signature authentication service providers granting or issuing digital certificates that are relevant to digital signatures attached to incoming digital signature data messages;
+ Results of checking of digital certificate status appropriate for digital signatures attached to incoming digital signature data messages;
- Change (addition or reduction) of digital signatures of digital signature authentication service providers;
- Notification (in alphabetical letters/symbols) of checking whether a digital signature is valid or not.
In addition, digital signature verification software must conform to technical standards regarding digital signatures attached to data messages in the Appendix to the Circular No. 22.
Circular No. 22/2020/TT-BTTTT is entering into force on November 1, 2020.
