Authority to issue inspection decisions in the market surveillance sector is granted to the following officeholders:
- General Director of the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance.
- Director of Market Surveillance Operations Department controlled by the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance.
- Directors of Market Surveillance Departments at the provincial level controlled by the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance, including:
+ Directors of Market Surveillance Departments of provinces and centrally-affiliated cities;
+ Directors of Market Surveillance Departments between provinces and centrally-affiliated cities.
- Directors of Market Surveillance Teams at the district level controlled by the provincial-level Market Surveillance Departments, including:
+ Leaders of Market Surveillance Teams at urban/rural districts, towns or provincially-controlled cities and cities under the control of centrally-controlled cities;
+ Leaders of Market Surveillance Teams between urban/rural districts, towns or provincially-controlled cities and cities under the control of centrally-controlled cities;
+ Leaders of specialized Market Surveillance Teams;
+ Leaders of Mobile Market Surveillance Teams.
The abovementioned means that persons authorized to issue inspection decisions in the market surveillance field have already been clearly determined.
The Decree No. 78/2019/ND-CP is set to enter into force on December 10, 2019.
