Lunar New Year 2020’s holidays are officially fixed

This is the highlight of the Official Dispatch No. 9087/VPCP-KGVX regarding the schedule of Lunar New Year 2020’s holidays applied to public officers and employees, including:

The Prime Minister gives his consent to the schedule of Lunar New Year 2020’s holidays which last for 7 days, starting from January 23, 2020 to end of January 29, 2020 (falling on the 29th of December of the Vietnamese Zodiac Pig year to end of the 5th of January of the Vietnamese Zodiac Rat year). 

This is the schedule proposed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to seek the Prime Minister's approval in the Official Dispatch No. 54/TTr-LDTBXH dated September 18, 2019.

Any public sector entity that adopts the abovementioned holiday schedule shall be responsible to properly assign its personnel to ensure uninterrupted and effective public services provided at the request of other organizations and individuals. 

Public sector entities that do not take automatic days-off on Saturday and Sunday every week will be expected to depend on their particular working plan and schedule to set an appropriate day-off schedule of their own.

The Official Dispatch No. 9087/VPCP-KGVX is promulgated on October 7, 2019.
