Specifically, the Law prescribes legal value of academic qualifications in use in the national education system, including:
Academic qualifications conferred by educational institutions classified by different educational forms and methods in the national education system are deemed equally legal.
They include the followings:
- Academic qualifications awarded to graduates from an educational tier or students completing an educational program and meeting graduation requirements applied to an equivalent level, including:
Lower secondary diploma, upper secondary diploma, associate degree, postsecondary degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree, doctor's degree and other equivalents.
- Certificates awarded to learners to certify learning outcomes after completion of a professional training or refresher course, or to learners who take tests for prescribed certificates.
The Government will introduce higher education qualifications and impose regulations on those at equivalent levels in certain of particular specialized training fields of study.
The 2019 Education Law takes effect on July 1, 2020.
