Sharp reduction in import duty on diesel

The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular No. 61/2015/TT-BTC on adjustments to preferential import duties on some oil & gas products in Heading 27.10 of the concessional import tariff schedule.

According to the Circular, import duty on engine gasoline is kept unchanged at 20% while import duties on diesel fuel and fuel oil are sharply reduced.

Particularly:

- Import duty on diesel fuel for cars (code 2710.19.71) and other diesel fuel (code 2710.19.72) is reduced from 20% to 12%.

- Import duty on fuel oil (code 2710.19.79) is reduced from 25% to 13%.

Circular No. 61 comes into force on May 04, 2015 and replaces Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BTC .
