DECISION

ON APPROVAL FOR GUIDELINES ON INFECTION CONTROL IN HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to Decree No.75/2017/ND-CP dated June 20 2017 of the Government on functions, missions, rights and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Circular No.18/2009/TT-BYT dated October 14, 2009 of the Minister of Health providing guidelines for implementation of infection control in health care facilities;

At the request of Director of Medical Service Administration and Ministry of Health

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. Guidelines on infection control in health care facilities issued together with this Decision include:

2. Guidelines on controlling post-operative infection in health care facilities

3. Guidelines on preventing urinary tract infection regarding urinary catheterization in health care facilities

4. Guidelines on processing endoscopes and flexible endoscopes in health care facilities

5. Guidelines on hand hygiene in health care facilities

Article 2. This Decision comes into force from the day on which it is signed.

Article 3. Chief of the Ministry Office, Chief of Ministry Inspectorate, Director General, Directors of Departments affiliated with the Ministry of Health, Directors of Heath Departments of provinces and centrally-affiliated cities, Directors of Hospital, Research Institutes affiliated with the Ministry of Health, Directors of relevant Health Departments and relevant agencies shall take responsibility to implement this Decision./.
