100% of road vehicles to use E5 gasoline by 2030 in Vietnam

This is the content prescribed in Decision No. 876/QD-TTg dated July 22, 2022 on approval of the Action Program for Green Energy Conversion and Carbon and Methane Emission Reduction of the Transport Industry promulgated by the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

According to Decision No. 876/QD-TTg, the road map of green energy conversion regarding road traffic is as follows:

- 2022-2030:

+ Promote the production of road traffic using electricity. By 2030, strive for 100% of road vehicles to use E5 gasoline.

+ Develop charging infrastructures satisfying the needs of people and enterprises.

- 2031-2050:
 
+ By 2040, phase out the production, assembly, and import of motor vehicles and motorcycles using fossil fuels used in Vietnam.

+ By 2050, 100% of road vehicles will use electricity and green energy while completing charging infrastructures to provide green energy nationwide.
