According to the Official Telegram, to implement the conclusion of the Politburo of Vietnam dated September 9, 2024 and follow the directives at meeting sessions on the inspection of remedies for the consequences of Storm No. 3 in specific provinces in the past few days, according to Section 10 of Official Telegram No. 92/CD-TTg 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam requests the Minister of Finance of Vietnam to implement the deferral, exemption, and reduction of taxes, fees, and charges for organizations, individuals, and enterprises suffering damage caused by storms and floods as follows:
The Minister of Finance of Vietnam shall direct the effective implementation of policies on deferral, exemption, and reduction of taxes, fees, charges, etc., for organizations, individuals, and enterprises suffering damage caused by storms and floods according to the law; and
Request insurers to urgently provide compensations for losses of policyholders, ensuring quickness, adequacy, and timeliness in conformity with agreements in relevant contracts and the law; promptly cooperate with the Ministry of Labor – War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam to request competent authorities to provide rice to households in risks of hunger under regulation and jurisdiction.
Additionally, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam is requested to:
- Continue directing and promptly implementing measures to ensure the safety of dykes, lakes, and dams and detecting and promptly handling incidents from the first hour.
- Direct measures to remedy the effects of storms, rains, and floods on agricultural manufacturing and restore agricultural manufacturing immediately after storms, rains, and floods.
- Direct the summary of demands and promptly report and request competent authorities to decide on variety/breed support to restore agricultural manufacturing, preventing the shortage of food supply at the subsequent time, especially at the end of 2024 and during the Tet holiday.
