According to Circular No. 10/2022/TT-BNNPTNT, agencies competent to issue Veterinary Hygiene Certificates include:
(1) Veterinary Department regarding export facilities; mixed facilities serving the export and domestic consumption; mixed facilities service the export and import
(2) Regional Veterinary Sub-Departments and Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Departments of the Veterinary Department regarding import facilities; mixed facilities serving the import and domestic consumption in provinces and centrally affiliated cities
(3) Provincial veterinary authorities regarding facilities not specified in (1) and (2) that serve the domestic consumption
Previously, according to Circular No. 09/2016/TT-BNNPTNT, agencies competent to issue Veterinary Hygiene Certificates include:
(a) Veterinary Department regarding facilities managed by Central Authorities; facilities serving the export and import and mixed facilities serving the import, export, and domestic consumption
(b) Provincial veterinary authorities regarding facilities not specified in (a) that serve the domestic consumption
Circular No. 10/2022/TT-BNNPTNT comes into force as of October 30, 2022.
