According to this Decision, based on clinical symptoms and test results, patients will be discharged on the 10th day from the time of being tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 when meeting the following requirements:
- Have no clinical symptoms during the period of 10 days starting from the date of being tested positive for SARS-CoV-2;
- Have at least two consecutive specimens (24-hour interval between tests) tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 by the real-time RT-PCR test, or having low virus concentration (Ct ≥ 30);
The time length from collection of the last specimen to discharge should not exceed 24 hours.
In addition, after being discharged, patients need to continue to be properly isolated at home under the supervision of local health departments and local CDCs for an additional period of 14 days later and monitor their body temperature at home twice a day;
If the body temperature is higher than 38oC in two consecutive readings or there are any abnormal clinical signs, they should immediately visit medical facilities for timely medical examination and treatment.
