According to this document, the General Department of Taxation is upgrading its e-tax application in order to support taxpayers in making and submitting applications for deferred payment of taxes and land rents in 2021 (briefly called application for deferral) by electronic means.
The General Department of Taxation requests tax authorities to:
- Propagate, support, focus on guiding, create all favorable conditions for taxpayers to update appropriate application versions, use the application to create and submit their applications for deferral electronically.
- As regards taxpayers who are families, individuals that have not yet granted electronic accounts for tax transactions:
Instruct them to sign up for an account on the National Public Service Portal and submit their applications for deferral on the National Public Service Portal after receipt of the upgradation notice from the General Department of Taxation.
- As regards taxpayers that cannot submit applications by electronic means:
Instruct them to send applications by post or receive applications directly at the tax authority’s offices according to current procedures.
Notes: The deadline for submission of applications for such deferral is July 30, 2021.
