According to this document, persons entitled to pay Covid-19 test costs under HI coverage are listed as follows:
- Persons taking health checkup services and patients receiving inpatient care services are prescribed Covid-19 testing and treatment services when having suspected signs of being infected with the disease, including:
+ Patients that have fever and/or acute respiratory infection that cannot be explained by any other causes;
+ Patients having any respiratory symptoms AND a history of travel, visit or stay to/from/in endemic Covid-19 areas within the 14-day period prior to the onset of symptoms OR close contact with cases suspected or confirmed of being infected with Covid-19 within approximately 14 days prior to the onset of symptoms.
- If patients are subjected to health quarantine measures when being tested positive for Covid-19, they can pay medical costs of HI-covered services according to Section 1 in the Official Dispatch No. 3100/BYT-BH dated April 20, 2021.
- In case of being tested negative for Covid-19, patients can pay medical costs of HI-covered services specified in Section 6 in the Official Dispatch No. 3100/BYT-BH dated April 20, 2021.
