In detail, 11 occupations cause adverse impacts on male fertility, including:
- Direct contact with heavy metals, such as cadmium (CD), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), mercury (Hg), etc.
- Contact with industrial chemicals, such as benzene (C6H6); toluene (C7H8); xylene (C6H10), pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, painting materials.
- Direct contact with high frequency ultrasounds, e.g. radars, etc.
- Operation of research nuclear reactors at nuclear power plants.
- Use of radioactive substances.
- Manufacturing of radioactive substances.
- Storage of radioactive substances, processing and storage of radioactive wastes, used radioactive sources.
- Use of radiological equipment, and operation of irradiators.
- Packing and transportation of radioactive substances, source materials and nuclear materials.
- Exploration, exploitation, extraction and processing of radioactive ores.
- Rendering of services supporting use of atomic energy with possibility of direct contact with ionizing irradiation.
