Contact between flight attendants and passengers must be minimized

Ministry of Transport issues the Official Dispatch No. 12183/BGTVT-CYT regarding the strengthening of Covid-19 infection prevention and control for cabin crew members of airlines in Vietnam.

According to this document, the following disease prevention and control measures must be strengthened to reduce the risk of infecting crew members and spreading the disease in communities:

- Measures applied to flight attendants and other cabin crew members (e.g. flight technicians, ground handling staff) on the same flight:

+ Minimize their contact with passengers;

+ Wear protective suits as pilot do;

+ Use designated toilets;

+ After coming off flights, get on their designated vehicles;

+ Avoid any contact with pilots on board and local ground service staff at foreign airports;

+ Strictly implement the aforesaid protective measures through the entire flight in order to minimize the risk of infection.

- Strictly comply with the rules of sanitization of international passenger aircraft at the arriving airport according to the instructions given in the Official Dispatch No. 1010/DP-DT dated November 19, 2020.

- Regularly disinfect high-risk positions of aircraft before, during and after flights at commonly areas such as seat arm rests, tray tables, etc.
