Passengers entering Vietnam must be strictly managed at concentrated isolation zones

The National Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Covid-19 disease issues the Official Telegram No. 1640/CD-BCD on the strengthened management of passengers entering Vietnam at concentrated isolation zones.

According to the document, the Ministry of National Defense and People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-affiliated cities are requested to provide the following directions:

- Strictly complying with the guidelines of the Government, Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee and instructions of the Ministry of Health regarding the management of passengers entering Vietnam.

- Strictly inspecting and verifying certificates of negative for SARS-CoV-2 before completion of procedures upon entry into Vietnam;  

Duly collecting samples according to the instructions given by the National Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health.

- Overseeing the isolation of passengers entering Vietnam in order to prevent any infection, prohibiting unauthorized persons from entering into isolation zones or getting in touch with quarantined persons, preventing quarantined persons from leaving isolation zones, and strictly sanctioning any violating person or entity.

After completion of the concentrated isolation, carrying out the continued medical surveillance and assessment in 14 successive days, and requesting persons completing isolation to keep them away from other people as well as applying personal protective measures.
