The Decree prescribes fines for breaches of regulations on drinking alcohol and locations banned for drinking alcohol as follows:
- Fine between VND 1,000,000 and VND 3,000,000 will be imposed for one of the following acts:
+ Compelling other persons to drink alcohol;
+ Drinking alcohol before and during work, class hours or breaks.
- Fine between VND 500,000 and VND 1,000,000 will be imposed for one of the following acts:
+ Drinking alcohol at prohibited locations prescribed by laws;
+ Inciting, provoking, and enticing others to drink alcohol.
- Warnings or fines between VND 200,000 and VND 500,000 will be imposed upon persons aged at least 16 years, but less than 18 years, for their commission of the act of drinking alcohol.
Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP is entering into force on November 15, 2020.
