Various publishing fees and charges are reduced by 50% by end of 2020

Circular No. 43/2020/TT-BTC regulating rates of fees for substantive examination of non-commercial documents for grant of publishing permits, charges for grant of permits for import and export of non-commercial publications, and charges for registration for importation of commercial publications.

According to this Circular, from May 26 – December 31, 2020, various publishing fee and charge rates will be reduced by 50% in comparison with those prescribed in Article 4 in the Circular No. 214/2016/TT-BTC in force, specifically including:

- Fees for substantive examination of non-commercial documents for grant of publishing permits: 

+ Fees for substantive examination of physical documents are reduced from 15,000 to 7,500 dong/standard page;

+ Fees for substantive examination of documents in the readable electronic format are reduced from 6,000 to 3,000 dong/minute;

+ Fees for substantive examination of documents in the audiovisual electronic format are reduced from 27,000 to 13,500 dong/minute.

- Fees for grant of permits for import of non-commercial publications are reduced from 50,000 to 25,000 dong/application.

- Fees for grant of permits for export of non-commercial publications are reduced from 50,000 to 25,000 dong/application.

From January 1, 2021 onwards, rates of the aforesaid fees and charges will be again subject to regulations laid down in Article 4 in the Circular No. 214.

Circular No. 43/2020/TT-BTC is in effect from May 26, 2020 to end of December 31, 2020.
