According to this document, from April 23 this year, Courts and units under the control of the Supreme People’s Court will strictly comply with the followings:
- Request their staff and employees to work in the office.
- Bring all cases or matters pending to trial or resolution under laws, but ensure strict compliance with disease prevention and control measures.
Concentrate on trying and resolving all cases and matters, even on Saturdays and Sundays, in order to meet their schedule and deadlines.
If there is any lack of courtrooms or meeting rooms, qualified courtrooms or meeting rooms should be rent.
- Prioritize hearing or resolution of cases or matters close to the deadlines; cases related to COVID-19 disease prevention and control measures; those cases or matters serving political purposes at localities; serious cases attracting public attention; etc.
Notes: At localities with high risks, the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16 on social distancing must be maintained (click here to see the list of localities with high risks).
