Quality assurance for distance learning during temporary school suspension is urged

This is the highlight of the Official Dispatch No. 988/BGDDT-GDDH providing instructions about quality assurance for online training programs for higher education establishments, universities, colleges, academies and pedagogy postsecondary schools during the period of Covid-19 prevention and control.

This document regulates endorsement of study results with respect to academic courses of online learning programs provided by means of real-time online learning tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc. as follows:  

- Assessment at end of academic course is made only if a student has completely fulfilled all academic contents of such course.

- If not, the student must attend make-up classes to take study programs that he/she has missed so that he/she can be qualified for assessment of completion of course or recognition of accumulated study results when in-class learning resumes.

Simultaneously, below are urgent actions that training establishments that have not yet provided online training solutions must take:

- Developing online or distance learning plans;

- Developing appropriate academic plans with a view to cooperating between online training or distance learning during pandemic time and in-class learning when students come back to classes. 

These plans must aim to shorten in-class learning time length, but ensure training quality assurance and stability of school activities.
