Pursuant to the Decree, there are several considerable changes in the Decree No. 24a/2016/ND-CP, including:
- Neither the planning for development of building materials nor the planning for minerals used as building materials will not be regulated any more. This means that regulations laid down in Chapter II in the Decree No. 24a on these activities will be repealed.
- In definitions of main building materials, tiling or flooring materials, including ceramic, granite, cotto, artificial or natural stone slabs for tiling or flooring, have been clarified.
- Investment projects for production of main building material products must use advanced and modern technologies or equipment meeting the followings:
+ Raw material, fuel and energy consumption criteria;
+ Requirements concerning environmental protection and technology evaluation under laws on technology transfer (technology evaluation requirements are newly added).
Decree No. 95/2019/ND-CP is taking effect on February 10, 2020.
