The Decision prescribes that used machinery or equipment whose useful life exceeds the one prescribed in clause 1 of Article 6 in the Decision No. 18/2019/QD-TTg may be permitted for import into Vietnam when they meet the following requirements:
- The remaining output or performance is at least 85% greater than the designed output or performance;
- The rate of consumption of fuel and energy is not 15% greater than the designed one.
Enterprises wishing to import machinery and equipment mentioned above must submit 01 set of application documents for import permits to the Ministry of Science and Technology to seek its solution, including:
- Application form for permits for import of used machinery and equipment (form No. 01 in the Decision No. 18/2019);
- Copy of enterprise registration certificate stamped by the importing enterprise;
- Test certification issued by a testing body designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Procedures for grant of import permits will be subject to the Decision No. 1337/QD-BKHCN in force from June 15, 2019.
